Inspired by glucose sensors, we design a biological system that can be integrated into a similar device for the early diagnosis of sepsis. In contrast to the already in-use, non sepsis specific biomarkers, we have chosen specific biomarkers through a collection of datasets. With epidermal application, the sepsis specific biomarkers will be detected in real time, using CRISPR diagnostics. This way, we ensure high sensitivity in the detection. This patch can be applied to ICU patients, Immunocompromised people and generally speaking, vulnerable groups.
